Super Cheap and Easy Art for the Nursery

I can hardly wait to finish up Bubbba's nursery!  I've been working away in here for what feels like forever.  Today I'm sharing the art I made for next to nothing!

Last fall I finally decided on this crib set from Dwell Studios, called Transportation.  It was way more than I wanted to spend but so, so worth it.  It's super cute.  More about that post here....choosing that bedding made me a little crazy.  Maybe a lot crazy.

Since then I've been working to pull the nursery together on a small teeny weeny budget.

Which is why I love this brainstorm!  I browsed Etsy and Pinterest for ideas for the wall based on the crib bedding.  There are lots of great pieces out there but I wasn't really prepared to spend any more money.  Then I got the idea to attempt something on my own.  I can't draw or do graphics or anything like that.  But I can photocopy!  Actually, I'm not sure about that either since I manage to jam the copier at work on a regular basis.  (Yes, colleagues, it was me!)  But what the heck!  I gathered up the bumper pad and ran it downstairs to the color photocopier.  It took a couple some a bunch of attempts to get things centred but I was finally able to get 6 photocopied pictures of sections of the bumper pad.

I had previously purchased a bunch of dollar store frames.  Can't actually remember why.  I think I just like to buy frames. Anyhow....These were actually $2 each (welcome to dollar stores in Canada! Honestly, they should be called Two Dollar Stores.)

I framed up these babies and wound up with some super cute, super inexpensive art for Bubba's room.  Total cost...$12!!

How much am I loving my color photocopier right now?  Yup.  A whole lot!

I love to party! I'll be linking this project up here
